DEPENDANT DOCUMENTS (OVER 18)

Please note any dependant over 18 must either be:
- wholly or substantially dependent on you for their basic needs, or
- unable to work to support themselves because they have a disability that totally or partially affects their bodily or mental functions
The following documents must be provided:
- all Identity Documents (includes valid passport copy, identity photographs, national ID, etc.)
- documents about their other relationships, if applicable
- police certificate (if they have spent a total of 12 months or more in Australia, then they must provide an Australian police certificate.
If not, then you must provide an overseas police certificate from home country and any other country where they have spent a total
of 12 months or more.
To prove the dependent’s dependency on your, you can provide:
- their birth certificate to prove your relationship with the dependant,
- you must provide Bank Statements, Money Transfers, Rent Receipts, etc. to prove that their financial dependency on you
